Packing Butler turns a single sentence about a trip into a full packing list. Describe the destination, dates, and plans, such as five nights in Rome with one nice dinner, carry-on only. It builds a categorized list scaled to the trip length, for anyone who would rather describe a trip than fill out a checklist by hand.
Packing Butler bases the list on weather data. It pulls the real forecast for the travel dates from Open-Meteo. For trips more than sixteen days out, it uses last year's data from the same calendar dates instead of a seasonal average. Warm weather adds sunscreen and linen shirts, rain adds umbrellas and jackets, and quantities scale to the number of nights.
Every list can be edited, shared as a live link with guest access, or handed to an AI assistant. A Claude integration over the Model Context Protocol lets an assistant manage the list directly. A Trip Underway itinerary can seed the list automatically, carrying over the details instead of requiring you to retype them.
Lists work offline once loaded, so a list built before a flight stays available in the air. The free tier covers unlimited lists, real forecasts, sharing, and offline access; Butler Pro adds assistant control and syncing across devices.
