Controls real hardware brightness on every display, with a bedtime dimming curve.

DisplayDial is the Mac display command center: it unifies real hardware brightness control, overlay dimming, and bedtime scheduling for your built-in screen and every external monitor that speaks the Display Data Channel protocol, in one dial.
The Schedule pane draws your evening as a curve you can drag: when to start winding down, how far brightness and warmth settle, and when to wake back to full brightness, anchored to your bedtime or to sunset. A five percent anti-lockout floor stops the curve from ever taking a screen to black by accident.
Each display gets its own card: DisplayDial dims a screen with its real backlight first, and only draws an overlay when a monitor cannot go low enough on its own. Extra brightness pushes past 100 percent using extended dynamic range on supported displays, and Sun Mode gives a temporary outdoor brightness boost that turns itself off and restores your settings when the timer ends.
Seven preset modes cover Day, Evening, Reading, Movie, Focus, Night, and Away, and DisplayDial remembers per-display state across sleep and dock swaps so your desk looks the same every time you sit down.
Controls the actual backlight on your built-in screen and every DDC-capable external monitor, instead of drawing a dark overlay over a screen that never dims.
The Schedule pane draws your evening as a line: when winding down starts, how far brightness and warmth settle, and when you wake back to full brightness, anchored to your bedtime or to sunset.
A five percent floor is engineered into every curve, so a schedule can dim a display close to dark without ever taking it to a black, unreadable screen.
Each screen gets its own card: DisplayDial dims with the real backlight first and only falls back to an overlay when a monitor cannot go low enough on its own.
A temporary outdoor brightness boost with stronger contrast and solid menus, set for 30 minutes to 4 hours, that turns itself off and restores your settings when the timer ends.
Day, Evening, Reading, Movie, Focus, Night, and Away presets switch brightness and warmth together, and Pro adds per-app brightness presets on top.
