One click in the menu bar backs up and syncs your Claude sidebar across every account.
Agent Backup is a Mac menu-bar app with one job: back up and sync the Claude Desktop sidebar across every account you use. Click the menu-bar icon and the backup starts. Right-click for everything else, including a restart prompt, recent backups, and a restore path.
Each run copies the freshest version of every session across all your accounts into every account, so the full current sidebar appears whichever account you sign in with. Claude keeps running while the copy happens, and the Restart Claude to see it menu item shows the new sidebar on your schedule.
Every run that overwrites a sidebar tile writes a rollback point and reads every byte of it back to confirm it is intact. Restore the tiles from a chosen time asks you to confirm, saves the current state first so the restore can itself be reversed, and returns your sidebar to where it stood.
The app is native AppKit in a single small bundle, so the click goes straight to the work. It works alongside Agent Companion and shares one backup history with it.
Click the menu-bar icon and the backup runs. The menu also offers Back Up & Sync Now, Restart Claude to see it, Recent backups, and Launch at Login.
Sessions are merged across accounts by recency and written into each one, so every account shows the same full sidebar.
Before tiles are replaced they are saved as a rollback point, and the app reads the whole file back to confirm it can restore.
Pick a backup time from the menu, confirm, and the sidebar returns to that state. The current state is saved first, so a restore can be undone too.
A small native AppKit app built to make the click and the backup the same moment.
