A permanent library of adorable animal pictures, with a new one every day.

Adorable Animals is a permanent library of adorable animal pictures at jasonpaez.com/adorable. It started from a Pinterest board of animal pictures and grows as more sources are added, so a picture only has to be found once.
The front page features Today's animal: the same calendar date always shows the same picture, with its title, where it was found, the photographer credit, and a link to the original. Surprise me jumps to a random picture, and a light and dark toggle sits in the header.
Every picture is recorded with its source, its source link, and its license status, so each one is credited and traceable. Products that want animal imagery call the same library through a small JSON API instead of keeping their own copies.
One picture is featured per calendar date. The pick is computed from the date, so everyone who opens the page on a given day sees the same animal.
One tap from the header brings up a random picture from the whole library, with its title, source, and a link to where it was found.
Each picture carries where it came from, the photographer credit, and its license, such as CC BY 4.0, with a link back to the original page.
A read-only JSON API returns a random sample of images, the daily pick, and totals by license status and source. Responses allow calls from any web frontend.
The library publishes a JSON Feed of the newest fifty pictures and a plain-text description at llms.txt, so readers and AI tools can follow it.
